A Computer Club for Mature Adults

To our valued members of the Bits and Bytes Club:

As Canada and the world continue to fight COVID-19, public facilities remain closed, and city-run programming remains cancelled.

The City of Kitchener announced recently that “all city-run cultural and recreation facilities are closed, and all city-run programming and activities are cancelled until further notice, and will be evaluated on an ongoing basis. Further information can be found on the City’s website at https://www.kitchener.ca/en/city-services/storm-and-emergency-updates.aspx

As a result of this continuing fight of COVID-19, most of normal Bits and Bytes programming have been cancelled.

NEW AS OF SEPTEMBER 1, 2020
In a continuing effort to to stay in touch with, and help our members,
the Bits & Bytes Club is now conducting the following monthly events:

To remain connected in these times of isolation, Bits and Bytes members are able to request access to our Facebook group. If you wish to add our group, Launch your Facebook app, search for “Bits And Bytes Computer Club Kitchener”, and send a request to Join the group.

The Bits and Bytes Computer Club is located at the Downtown Community Centre,  35 Weber Street West (corner of Ontario Street) in Kitchener. (Click for map).

The club, started in 1989, is dedicated to helping adults gain a better understanding about computers through small group, participant-paced learning. For more information, see About B&B.

NOTE: You will need a Kitchener Group Card to participate in all free events taking place in City of Kitchener community centres.

IMPORTANT PARKING NOTE: There are important changes for parking at DCC
 1: If you are able, please park in the Duke & Ontario Street Garage (with the lime green circular ramp.)
     Bring your parking stub to the front desk to receive a free pass to get out of parking.
 2: Use one of the 40 parking spots in the DCC lot. To avoid getting a parking ticket:
      A: BE SURE to display your pink parking pass (available from the front desk.)
      B: BE SURE to park only in one of the spots shown in this Downloadable PDFmap

All Spring courses have been cancelled due to CORVID 19 related closure of the Down Town Community Centre
